Terms of Service

5.1 Forces (Salesforce Professionals)

Forces are independent Salesforce professionals who offer their services through the Platform. By registering as a Force, you represent that:

• You possess the skills, qualifications, and certifications stated in your profile
• Any Salesforce certifications listed are valid and current
• You have the legal right to provide the services offered
• You will perform services professionally and in accordance with project requirements
• You are responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and compliance with applicable laws

5.2 Clients

Clients are businesses or individuals seeking Salesforce-related services. By registering as a Client, you represent that:

• You have the authority to post projects and enter into agreements
• Project descriptions are accurate and complete
• You have the funds necessary to pay for services
• You will communicate project requirements clearly and respond to Forces in a timely manner

5.3 Unified User Model

MustertheForce uses a unified user model. Any registered user may access both client and Force features based on their actions. A user who posts a gig accesses client features; a user who links Trailhead credentials and submits proposals accesses Force features. Users may do both simultaneously. The role selection at signup is a preference indicator, not a permanent identity assignment.

6.1 Payment Method Requirement

A valid payment method (credit card or debit card) must be linked to your account before you can post a gig. No charge is made at the time of posting (except for Secure Gigs — see below). The payment method is verified via Stripe and will be charged when you accept a proposal and fund the project.

6.2 Fee Structure — Full Fund (Default)

Under Full Fund, the Client pays the entire project amount plus the service fee at the time they accept a proposal. All milestones are fully escrowed from day one.

• Gig Posting: Free (payment method required)
• Client Service Fee (Standard Gig): 3% of the project total, charged when the Client accepts a proposal and funds the project
• Client Service Fee (Secure Gig): 5% of the project total, charged upfront when the Secure Gig is posted. This fee is non-refundable. It covers NDA enforcement, gated proposal access, and confidential document management. The remaining project amount is charged when the Client accepts a proposal.
• Force Platform Fee: 15% of earnings, deducted from each milestone payout

Full Fund is the default and recommended option. The Force begins work knowing every milestone is backed by funded escrow. This is the strongest protection model on the platform.

6.3 Fee Structure — Milestone Fund (Flexible)

Clients who prefer to fund milestones individually may select Milestone Fund at the time of award. This option carries higher fees to compensate for the increased risk to the Force and the additional payment validation required by the platform.

• Client Service Fee: 12% of each milestone amount, charged before each milestone begins
• Force Platform Fee: 10% of earnings, deducted from each milestone payout (Force receives 90%)

Under Milestone Fund:

• Each milestone must be funded and validated before the Force can begin work on that milestone.
• If a Client's payment method fails when a milestone is due for funding, the project is paused. The Client has 72 hours to resolve the payment issue. If unresolved, the project may be suspended.
• The Force is never expected to begin work on an unfunded milestone. The platform enforces this gating automatically.
• The funding type (Full Fund or Milestone Fund) is visible to the Force before they accept the gig, and cannot be changed after the project begins.

6.4 Product Fees

• Scout Session: $79 flat fee per session, charged to the Client at checkout. MustertheForce retains 100% of Scout fees minus payment processing costs. No Force involvement.
• Recon Session: $5 flat fee per session, charged to the Force at checkout. MustertheForce retains 100% of Recon fees minus payment processing costs.
• 1:1 Consultation: $99–$500 per session, single upfront charge to the Client. Held in escrow until the session is completed. Force receives the session fee minus the 15% platform fee.

All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise specified in these Terms. Stripe processing fees (~2.9% + $0.30) are absorbed into the above fees — there are no additional charges to users.

6.5 Escrow and Milestone Payments

All payments are processed through our secure escrow system powered by Stripe Connect. When a Client accepts a Force's proposal:

• Full Fund: The entire project amount (all milestones) plus the service fee is charged to the Client and held in escrow. Funds are released to the Force as each milestone is approved.
• Milestone Fund: Each milestone is charged individually before work begins. Funds are held in escrow for the current milestone only and released upon approval.
• Forces receive payouts to their connected Stripe account, minus the applicable platform fee (15% for Full Fund, 10% for Milestone Fund).

6.6 Auto-Release Policy

When a Force marks a milestone as delivered, the Client has 72 hours to review and either approve the work or request revisions. If the Client does not respond within 72 hours, the milestone payment is automatically released to the Force.

6.7 Revision Requests

Clients may request up to two (2) rounds of revisions per milestone. If a Client requests more than two revisions, the milestone may be escalated to MustertheForce for review.

6.8 Geographic Availability of Payouts

MustertheForce processes all payouts through Stripe Connect, which currently supports payouts to individuals and businesses in approximately 46 countries, including but not limited to:

• North America: United States, Canada, Mexico
• Europe: United Kingdom, Germany, France, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, and most EU/EEA member states
• Asia-Pacific: Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Thailand
• South America: Brazil
• Middle East: United Arab Emirates
• Africa: South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire

Forces located in countries not currently supported by Stripe Connect may create a profile and browse available gigs, but will not be able to submit proposals or receive payments until payout support is extended to their region. MustertheForce will notify affected users when additional countries become available.

The list of supported countries is determined by Stripe and is subject to change. For the most current information, Forces should refer to their Profile Payment Settings page. MustertheForce is not responsible for Stripe's geographic availability decisions and makes no guarantees regarding the timeline for expansion to additional countries.

6.9 Scout Sessions

Scout is an AI-powered project scoping tool designed for Clients. A Scout Session costs $79 and produces a Scout Report — a structured document containing problem analysis, solution recommendations, budget estimates, timeline projections, hiring questions, and risk assessments.

Scout Sessions are powered by artificial intelligence and do not involve a human Salesforce professional. The Scout Report is generated based on information provided by the Client during the session. MustertheForce does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of Scout Report recommendations. Scout Reports are provided for informational purposes and should not be treated as professional consulting advice.

Scout Sessions are non-refundable once the session has been initiated (first message exchanged with the AI). If a session fails due to a technical error before any interaction occurs, the Client may request a refund.

6.10 Recon Sessions

Recon is an AI-powered diagnostic tool designed for Forces. A Recon Session costs $5 and produces a Recon Report — containing a troubleshooting checklist, a generated AI prompt tailored to the Force's specific issue, and diagnostic notes.

Recon Sessions are powered by artificial intelligence and do not involve a human reviewer. MustertheForce does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of Recon diagnostics. Recon Reports are tools to assist troubleshooting, not definitive technical advice.

Recon Sessions expire 72 hours after creation. Sessions not completed within this window are automatically closed. Recon Sessions are non-refundable once initiated.

6.11 1:1 Consultations

1:1 Consultations are live video sessions between a Client and a Force, ranging from $99 to $500 per session. The Client pays the full session fee upfront, which is held in escrow until the session is completed.

Upon successful completion of the consultation, the Force receives the session fee minus the 15% platform fee. If a scheduled session does not occur due to Force unavailability, the Client receives a full refund. If a Client fails to attend a scheduled session without prior cancellation, the session fee may be released to the Force at MustertheForce's discretion.

MustertheForce facilitates the session but is not a party to any advice, recommendations, or decisions made during a consultation. Neither the Client nor the Force may hold MustertheForce liable for outcomes resulting from consultation advice.

6.12 Founding Force Program

The Founding Force Program is a limited-time offer available to the first 50 verified Forces who meet eligibility requirements. Founding Forces receive a reduced platform fee of 5% (instead of the standard 15%), locked for the lifetime of their account, provided they remain in good standing and comply with these Terms.

Founding Forces receive a unique referral code. When a new Force signs up using that code and completes verification, the referring Founding Force earns a referral bonus equal to 1% of the referred Force's gross earnings on the Platform, for the lifetime of the referred Force's account. Referral bonuses are paid from MustertheForce's platform fee, not from the referred Force's earnings. The referred Force is not informed of the referral arrangement.

MustertheForce reserves the right to revoke Founding Force status for violation of these Terms, extended inactivity (no platform activity for 12+ months), or fraudulent use of the referral system. Upon revocation, the Force's platform fee reverts to the standard 15% rate and referral earnings cease to accrue.

The Founding Force Program may be modified or discontinued at MustertheForce's sole discretion. Existing Founding Forces retain their benefits unless individually revoked for cause.

8.1 Cancellation Before Work Begins

If a Client cancels a project before the Force has begun work (i.e., no milestone has been marked "In Progress"):

• A cancellation fee of 5% of the funded amount applies
• The cancellation fee is split: 60% to the Force (for opportunity cost) and 40% to the Platform
• The remaining 95% is returned to the Client

8.2 Cancellation After Work Begins

Once a Force has begun work on a milestone, the project cannot be unilaterally cancelled. Funds remain in escrow until:

• The work is completed and approved
• Both parties mutually agree to cancel and terms of resolution
• A dispute is resolved through our resolution process

9.1 Escalation Process

If a Client believes a Force has abandoned a project or is not meeting obligations, they may flag the project for review. Our escalation process is as follows:

• First Flag: The Force is notified and given 48 hours to respond and resume work
• Second Flag: The Force receives a warning that their account may be impacted
• Third Flag: The project is escalated to MustertheForce admin review

9.2 Admin Review

During admin review, MustertheForce will examine project communications, deliverables, and milestone history. Possible resolutions include:

• Partial release of funds based on work completed
• Assignment of a replacement Force or MTF-managed completion
• Full release to the Force if work was completed satisfactorily
• Activation of the MTF Guarantee (see Section 10)

9.3 Binding Decision

MustertheForce's decision in dispute resolution is final and binding on all parties. By using the Platform, you agree to accept our dispute resolution decisions.

10.1 Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the MTF Guarantee, the following conditions must be met:

• The project was funded through our escrow system with at least one milestone payment
• The Client maintained responsive communication throughout the project, responding to Force inquiries within reasonable timeframes
• The Client provided all necessary project requirements, access credentials, and materials as agreed
• The project scope remained substantially consistent with the original agreement (scope changes require mutual agreement)
• The abandonment was not caused by Client non-cooperation, unreasonable demands, or conduct violating our Terms
• The Client used the Platform's flagging system to report issues before escalating to guarantee claims

10.2 What the MTF Guarantee Does Not Cover

The MTF Guarantee does not apply to:

• Disputes over subjective work quality when deliverables meet the agreed specifications
• Scope disagreements where the Client seeks work beyond the original agreement
• Projects where both parties share responsibility for delays or issues
• Situations where the Client failed to fund milestones as agreed
• Projects cancelled by mutual agreement between Client and Force
• Claims submitted more than 30 days after the last project activity
• Projects taken off-platform in violation of our Terms

10.3 Resolution Process

Upon receiving a guarantee claim, MustertheForce will conduct an admin review examining all project communications, deliverables, milestone history, and flagging records. MustertheForce reserves sole discretion to:

• Determine whether the claim meets eligibility requirements
• Decide the appropriate resolution method (replacement Force assignment, MTF-managed completion, partial release, mediated completion, or claim denial)
• Set the terms of any replacement assistance offered

Under the MTF Guarantee, MustertheForce commits to sourcing a replacement Force or completing the remaining work through our internal team. Resolution timelines and pricing may differ from the original agreement depending on scope complexity and Force availability.

10.4 Important Limitations

The MTF Guarantee is not insurance. It is a discretionary benefit provided by MustertheForce to promote trust in our marketplace. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the guarantee program at any time. Admin decisions regarding guarantee claims are final and binding.

11.1 On-Platform Communication

All project-related communication must occur through the Platform's messaging system until a project is funded and in progress. This requirement protects both parties and ensures we can assist with dispute resolution if needed.

11.2 On-Platform Payments

All payments for services arranged through MustertheForce must be processed through the Platform. Circumventing our payment system is strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate account termination.

11.3 Identity Protection

To protect both parties, certain personal information (such as full names and direct contact information) is hidden until a project is funded. Users agree not to share contact information in an attempt to circumvent Platform protections.

13.1 Platform Content

The Platform, including its design, features, content, and functionality, is owned by MustertheForce and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

13.2 User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit to the Platform (such as profile information, project descriptions, and messages). By submitting content, you grant MustertheForce a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute such content in connection with operating the Platform.

13.3 Work Product

Unless otherwise agreed in writing between the Client and Force, upon full payment for a project, all work product and deliverables created by the Force become the property of the Client. Forces retain no rights to use, sell, or distribute the work product except as needed to complete the project.

17.1 Termination by You

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Account closure does not relieve you of any obligations for ongoing projects or unpaid fees.

17.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, including for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Repeated disputes or complaints
• Extended inactivity
• Any other reason at our sole discretion

17.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to intellectual property rights, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification.

19.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MustertheForce regarding the Platform and supersede all prior agreements.

19.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

19.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.

19.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights hereunder without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
